About
The North Olympic Discovery Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on a unique point to point course that incorporates the beautiful Olympic Discovery Trail with stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and a five mile finishing stretch along the shores of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This rails to trails course is a wide, mixed/hard surface trail. The race is organized by the Port Angeles Marathon Association - a group of accomplished amateur athletes.
If you are part of a marathon support crew, a community member, one of our great volunteers, or a hospital employee - please come out and celebrate marathon weekend with a beautiful run/walk along the waterfront.
Course
Out and back on the Olympic Discovery Waterfront Trail. 10k/5k events start from City Pier in Port Angeles - where the marathon and half marathon races finish - and run east on the waterfront trail, making a loop around beautiful Ennis creek, returning to the waterfront trail where the 5K heads west to the finish line and the 10K heads east along the water before turning back west for the finish line. Enjoy food and music at the finish and get ready to cheer the half marathoners and marathoners to their finish.
