Walk to StreamFest!
The North Olympic Discovery Marathon and StreamFest are excited to recognize People Powered Participants at this years' event Sunday, September 7th, 2008.
Walk to StreamFest and you could win. Earn tickets to enter the special drawing.
There are several ways to be included as a People Powered Participant:
Leave your car at the Eagle's parking area and walk rather than ride the shuttle. This is an approximate 1 mile trek with some good uphill climbing and will take about 20 minutes. This walk will earn one ticket for the raffle - two if you plan to walk back to your car! Stop by the Marathon booth on Sunday to enter your ticket(s) and a chance to win. StreamFest 1mi map
Leave your car at the Eagle's park and ride and take a longer walk to StreamFest. This 3 mile trek will take you through the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center and Peninsula College. You will also travel through trails across Whites Creek. This walk will take approximately one hour (consider taking an additional 15-20 minutes to enjoy the latest art collection or the always inspiring outdoor art and if you haven't toured the college campus in a while you definitely need to check out the latest projects and beatiful buildings. Earn 3 tickets for the raffle! No doubt you will also feel healthy and rejuvenated after this walk. Stop by the Marathon booth on Sunday to get your raffle tickets and tell us about your walk. Leave your car at home! If you leave your car out of the equation all together, you will earn 6 tickets! Wow! You have helped the environment, you have helped your body, and you have a great chance of winning a beautiful prize.
Riding your bike? Yep! That counts too. White's Creek is not bike suitable however.
